Tobacco War

When we venture into abandoned places we normally have to do battle with various elements: blood thirsty mosquitoes, overgrown flora and a lot of broken glass. However one thing I’ve never had to contend with is a human enemy. When we happened upon an abandoned alcohol and tobacco factory in Dali we rushed inside cameras at the ready. Little did we know a different kind of shooting was going on inside. Taiwanese clad in full camo gear and masks and armed with massive rifles were silently sneaking about the place. We had entered a war zone. Luckily the guns held only plastic pellets and the group was generous enough to let us share the space.
