Terminal Condition

Somewhere in Tainan city, on an ubiquitous Taiwan street, lies the abandoned hospital. It rises four storeys, a slowly crumbling edifice of brick. Like most abandoned places in Taiwan it has been looted. Glass only exists as shards beneath our feet, pills are scattered over table tops and the skeletons of doors slam shut in the breeze. On one wall a bloody handprint has been smeared across the tile, rationality suggests vandalism, imagination suggests otherwise. Various organs lie suspended in formaldehyde and everywhere the memory of the space and the patients it once held pervades the place.
