Borneo is famous for its teeming jungles; the steamy, damp corners of its rainforest. But its not all trees and reefs and mountains. And while many may not find beauty in concrete or faded facades I must admit I have a certain weakness for a dirty rundown city. Broken windows and cracked pavements are my real estate of choice and a grimy alleyway or rundown street are the places my feet will beat. And when I came across a graveyard on a hillside, the broken headstones and tumbling tombs built atop one another, it was close to being the best part of my trip. Graveyards make me happy, what can I say? This was the side of Borneo I saw and took away for my own. Check it out below.
